Dala is a small town located to the South of the Yangon River. Unlike sightseeing places in Yangon, a short trip to Dala town definitely offer you a taste of Myanmar rural life.

To get Dala, take the local ferry ride from Pansodan Pier located at the end of Pansodan road.

What to do at Dala town
- Take a walk along Dala concrete road and meet cheerful villagers.
- Take a tricycle ride to enjoy Myanmar local life
- Visit Shwe Sar Yan Pagoda, where a 150-years-old mummified monk has been kept in a glass case.
- Chu Chu recycle workshop is one of the interesting places to visit in Dala. It is helping the locals how to recycle all waste material around them by creating crafts and beautiful gifts.

The government now is planning to build a bridge that will connect downtown Yangon to Dala township. Upon its completion, the bridge is expected to give a boost to the development of several townships south of Yangon including Dala.
